Lewis Wayne Huff

Lewis Wayne Huff passed away peacefully at his home on June 8th, 2022 in Lehi Utah, He was 83 years old. He was born February 20th, 1939 to Lewis and Lois Huff. He attended Payson Highschool in 1957. He served a mission in the Northwest states including Washington and Oregon.
After his mission, he attended Weber State where he earned a bachelors degree in elementary Education with a minor in music. He later completed a masters in education at the University of Utah. He taught for 36 years in Salt Lake school district.
Wayne married Sharon Lee Althouse on July 17th, 1966.  Later solemnized in the Salt Lake temple. They have one daughter Jenifer (Michael) Atkin and two grandsons, Jeromy Michael and Benjamin Wayne Atkin. Wayne loved music and played clarinet and was the assistant director of the Murray concert band.
He was also a member of the Payson City band where he played multiple instruments and conducted the band for the last 20 years.He loved to work with hands, his hobbies included watch repair, Leatherwork, porcelain pieces and Legos. Wayne was active in the LDS church where he served in numerous callings Through the years including a two-year service mission for LDS family services.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents and brother and son in law. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Elevation Hospice for their loving care of Wayne in his last days.
Viewing will be June 17th from 6:00 to 8:00Pm at LDS chapel located at 2790 North center Street in Lehi Utah. Funeral will be June 18th 11:00 Am with a Viewing Prior, From 9:30 Am to 10:30 Am At the same chapel.
