Leota Harper

January 27, 1926 — May 19, 2014

Leota Harper passed away peacefully on May 19, 2014. She was reunited with her husband Robert O. (Bob) Harper, her parents Bertell and Myrtle Boundy Kellgreen, and her brother Clinton (Bud) Kellgreen, who all preceded her in death.
Leota was born in Murray, Utah, on January 27, 1926. She grew up on a farm located where Fashion Place Mall now stands. Leota graduated from Jordan High School and worked at Strevell-Paterson Hardware for over 20 years.
Leota loved to ski, golf, and ice skate. She and Bob took many wonderful trips to Italy, Russia, Hawaii, Singapore, Hong Kong, and also many cruises. They spent winters in St. George for many years. She and her husband were hardly ever apart for over 58 years, until his death in 2007.
As Leota’s health declined she was often heard to say “So many doctors; so many pills” and complained about her “goofy head and crazy legs.” Leota will be remembered and missed by her friends and family and all who knew and loved her.
Graveside services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday May 22, 2014, at Mountain View Memorial Estates at 3115 E. Bengal Blvd (7800 So). A viewing will be held 1 hour prior to the services. Online condolences can be made at www.mountainviewmortuary.com.
