Leora Bug Petro

On May 19th, 1967, a beautiful, feisty little girl was born to Frank and Leora Petro. She was born number 7 of 8 children.

Leora means “Light”, and that she was! Leora lit up any room she walked into. She was a brilliant woman. She was not only smart, feisty, funnier than anyone we have ever known, hardworking, and creative.

She was a daughter, a sister, a grandma, and friend… but most of all a mother. Lee was married to her childhood sweetheart Agustine Lopez for 27 years. Together they had 7 children. Maria (Gordon), Agustine (Ashley), Cosme (Hunter), Francis (Anjalia), Annie, Dallas, (Kenli), Dakota (Elisa). She has 10 beautiful grandchildren and many, many nieces, and nephews.

Leora was too young to leave this world. On January 31, 2024, Leora got her wings. She fought her battle in the same way she lived her life, with determination, strength, courage, and her undeniable humor.

We will miss you Lee, more than words could ever convey. Life will be darker without your light to shine in it. We will love you forever. Rest in Peace sweet daughter, momma, sister, grandma, aunt, and friend. Until we see you again.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary; 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah with a viewing one hour prior to services. Interment; Memorial Redwood Cemetery.
