Leora June Petro

Leora June Petro was born on April 10, 1933 to Florence DeVaul and Cecil Baughman. Leora married the love of her life Frank Petro on June 6, 1953, and were together for 70 years, until Frank went to Heaven on November 3, 2017. Together they have eight children: Angeline (Bob) Surridge, Victoria Lopez (deceased), Frank Petro III, Mitchell Petro, Jerry Petro, Biaggio (Catalina) Petro, Leora (Roland) Moellenberndt, Nicole (Matthew) Clardy. She has 32 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Leora loved her children, and as she would say “They are all my babies.” One of her greatest pleasures was giving each grandchild that came to visit her five dollars.
Leora was beautiful and had a smile that could melt any heart. She was as feisty as a lioness, and loved to cause as much mischief as possible. Later in her life she loved going to church, long rides (to anywhere), bingo, and going to the casino. Leora took her wings on August 11, 2021. Momma you have left quite a legacy, and this legacy will miss you beyond words.
Rest in the arms of Jesus and give daddy and Vicky a big kiss for us.
A graveside service (at the Mausoleum) will be held on Monday, August 16, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123. Entombment will follow.
