Leone Northrop Black passed away on October 23, 2019, in Layton, Utah. Leone was born on August 24, 1937, in Twin Falls, Idaho to Neal Merlin Northrop and Mabel Florence Alexander Northrop. She married Melbourne George Black on August 30, 1964. Leone was a very accomplished artist and a member of the Intermountain Society of Artists for many years. She was a Salt Lake Community College graduate, an entrepreneur, and she was truly a character who loved her independence. She will be loved and missed, always.
She is survived by her brothers Eddie and John Northrop; sons Tim A. Jones and Marc Black; grandson Tim N. Jones; granddaughters Katherine (Jones) Cupello, Jessica (Jones) Bierer, Ashley Black; Five great-grandsons and four great-granddaughters.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents Neal and Mabel Northrop, grandson Jason Jones, and nephew John Northrop.
