Leonard Lee Scheller

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Leonard Lee Scheller on October 2, 2024. Born on November 17, 1962, Leonard was a man of many talents and an unyielding love for life, Bloody Marys, and spaghetti westerns. He spent his working years as a truck driver. Leonard was a jack-of-all-trades, taking on various construction jobs and always willing to lend a hand wherever needed.

Leonard was happiest outdoors, enjoying time camping, fishing, hunting, sharing drinks and laughs around the fire with his closest friends. His passion for music was infectious; he was always eager to share his never-ending playlist and B-side tracks with others, though he was known for his strong hatred of Jim Morrison, often referring to him as “a no-good drunken buffoon.”

Leonard’s heart was as big as his smile. He was a soft and gentle soul, quick to help anyone in need, he would give the shirt off his back without hesitation. Above all, he loved people, and his kindness touched the lives of all who knew him. He was an adoring grandfather to 7 wonderful grandchildren and an honorary uncle to many. He was also a loving stepfather to Melissah Jackson, Rachael Jackson, Tessa Jackson, and the late Alex Jackson, whom he raised with his beloved late wife, Norma Jean Jackson.

He was preceded in passing by his parents, Roy and Lee Scheller, and his brother, Mark Scheller. He is survived by his brother Bill Haight, his sisters Alice Huber and Jill Lee, and his sons Sean Scheller and Shane Scheller, along with many other cherished family members and friends. He is now reunited with Norma, whom he cherished and adored.
