Obituary for Leonard A. Butterfield, Age 88, died on December 6, 2016, peacefully at home in West Jordan surrounded by family. He was born on October 19, 1927 in Union Utah to Albert and Violet Butterfield. Leonard married The love of his life Doris Jean Davis on May 27, 1945.
Leonard and his wife Doris were loving foster parents to many different children for many years. For years Leonard enjoyed Collecting coins and model cars. He was an amazing artist, a boxing champion and enjoyed teaching kids the game of golf. Leonard loved the outdoors and spent a lot of time hunting and fishing with family and friends. Leonard was a very hard worker he spent 35 years working for the Bakery as an engineer. He will be missed by so many people we was an amazing man who touched so many lives. He is survived by Sisters Leona Hummel and Lori Grondahl (Jack), Children Twila Shipley (Stan), Selyf Butterfield (Ruth) and Julie Mesa, 7 grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Doris Butterfield, Parents Albert and Violet Butterfield, 9 Brothers, 4 sisters, and one granddaughter.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday January 11, 2016 at 11 am with a viewing one hour prior to the service, at Redwood Memorial, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
A viewing for family and friends will be held Sunday January 10, 2016 from 5-7 at Redwood Memorial. A small lunch will be served Monday after the Funeral Services at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church at 2125 West 9000 South, West Jordan, Utah.Service Information
