Leo H Merkey, Jr

Leo Harold Merkey, Jr, age 27, passed away on August 27, 2018. Leo was born on July 21, 1991 in West Valley City to Leo H Merkey and Terry Kley.
Leo enjoyed drawing, listening and creating music, and of course football. Go Steelers! His most beloved friend and sidekick was his dog Athena.
We will always remember Leo’s smile, his laugh, the jokes he would tell and his love for those around him both family and friends.
Leo is survived by his parents, Leo H Merkey and Terry Kley, his sisters Shelby L Merkey and Kasonda J Breeding, and by his many family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandpa June H Merkey, his grandma Coral M Merkey, his aunt Dorthy G Merkey, and his uncle Jason R Kley.
Viewings will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018 from 6 to 8 PM and Saturday, September 1, 2018, 5 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
A Celebration of Leo’s Life will be held on September 1, 2018 at 6 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
