Lenard F. Mower, 94, passed away January 1, 2014, at his home surrounded by family. He was born on September 1, 1919, in Fairview, Utah to Orson C. and Glendora (Ames) Mower. He married Billie Demler July 21, 1949. He was a Veteran of the Army during WWII.
Lenard is survived by his sons, John (Mary Kay) McDermott, Paul (Diane B.) Mower, Steven (Diane P.) Mower; daughter, Diane Mower-Jones. Also survived by his grandchildren; Jennifer, Holly, Megan, Kris, Mitch, McKenna, and Nick; 11 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers and sisters, and favorite son-in-law, Jeffrey Capener Jones.
A special thanks to VA Home Health, Harmony Home Health (Mama Maria), Beehive Senior Care (Tofi), and his granddaughter, Holly McDermott for their loving care of Grampy.
A viewing will be held at Lake Hills Mortuary, 10055 South State Street, Sandy, on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, and one hour prior to services which will be held on Monday, Jan. 6, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Lake Hills Memorial Cemetery. Condolences may be shared at www.murraymemorial.com.
