He is preceded in death by his mother, Doris Farnsworth; father, Wendel Christensen; sister, Donna Mogard; and niece, Angie Hurst. Their absence is a poignant reminder of the bonds he valued deeply.

A graveside service in honor of Leland will be held on December 28, 2024, at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery in West Jordan, Utah. The service will begin at 2:00 PM, with a time of reflection and remembrance scheduled to conclude at 3:00 PM.
