1931 ~ 2014Murray, Utah-Lee R. Naylor, our kind and gentle husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend passed away peacefully the afternoon of August 5, following a long, enduring battle with Parkinson’s. Lee was only 83, and had a great will to live. It was a fall and broken hip that finally released him from his debilitating disease. His wife Doris was by his side, with other family members close by sending their love.Lee was born in Highland Boy, Utah on March 4, 1931 to Fae Orgill and Roy B. Naylor. He married Doris George on March 30, 1955, and their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple. They were blessed with four daughters. Dad loved to take road trips with the family and be the “Papa,” making the decisions and entertaining them all. His family meant the world to him, and he will be greatly missed.Lee served in the U.S. Navy and received an honorable discharge. He loved golfing, bowling, and driving shiny new cars. He worked for the US Postal Service for 30 years and owned a mobile home park in South Salt Lake. Lee cared for people and was kind and generous all of his life.He was preceded in death by his parents, and in-laws Ivy and Joseph S. George.He is survived by his wife Doris of 59 years, daughters Kerrie (Judy Hollberg), Jill Martinez, Ruth Naylor, and Ann (Paul) Binks, grandchildren Amy, Ian (Jill), Andy, Ivy, Olivia, Carter, and twin great granddaughters Addyson and Brylee. He is also survived by his sister Maryn (Dee) Williams and sister in-law Helen (Steve) Bull.A special thanks to Horizon Hospice for their loving care for almost two years. We also send an enormous thanks and love to his in-home caregivers.Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, August 8, 2014 at the LDS Chapel on 6350 S. Rodeo Ln. A viewing will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday at Murray Memorial Mortuary 5850 S 900 E, Murray Utah, and from 10:30-12 on Friday at the church. Interment will follow at the Murray City Cemetery.
