Lee Junior Folkersen

Lee Junior Folkersen passed away in his home on January 14, 2019 surrounded by family and friends.
Lee was born on May 19, 1930 to Nephi Lee and Erma Greta Folkersen. He served a faithful mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to Sweden, and was also, honorably discharged from the US Army, with his lifelong profession as a Diesel Mechanic.
He married his eternal companion on January 7, 1954 in the Salt Lake Temple. He was blessed with five daughters and two sons. His family has grown over the years to include, 24 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren, and is still growing.
He was a humble man of few words, who let his many acts of service speak for him. He served alongside his eternal companion in the Salt Lake Temple and on a service mission at The Church Employment Center. Although, he served in many formal capacities, it was the constant daily acts of service that defines his legacy.
Funeral services will be held on Friday January 18, at 11:00 am. Visitors may pay respects between 9:00-10:00 am prior to services with a Thursday night viewing from 6-8 pm. Both the viewing and funeral will be at the Greenfield Chapel located at 6600 S. Greenfield Way (1800 E.), Cottonwood Heights, UT. 84121.
He is preceded in death by his sweetheart, Mary Frances, his parents, two brothers, two sisters, and a daughter-in-law. He is survived in death by his brother Curt (Marilyn), and children Bevelee (Jerry), Rod, Francene (Matt), Marianne, Glenda, Lynn (Tifini), and Carol.
