Lavone Dahle Stokes

Lavone Dahle Stokes passed away on September 7, 2017 in Kearns, Utah. She was born on January 19, 1925 in Logan, Utah to Harold O. Powell and Bessie A. Conder. She was a hard working mother employed by the Salt Lake Credit Bureau for many years followed by the US Postal Service for 22 years until her retirement. Family was the most important thing to Lavone. She was very active in the Church of Latter –day Saints. She is survived by her children William Newland, Wayne (Kay) Newland, David (Mary) Newland and Elizabeth Stokes. She also has 5 beautiful grandchildren, Dale Newland, Eric Newland, Zachary Stokes, Tila Stokes and BreAna Stokes. She is preceded in death by husbands Clarence Newland, Joseph Dalton and Thomas Stokes, and her grandson David Newland, Jr.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 from 10:00 to 10:45 AM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary at 6500 S Redwood Rd, West Jordan. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment at Memorial Redwood Cemetery.
