1941 – 2017
Lavinia Longo Maumi was born on January 27, 1941 in Tungua, Tonga to Tevita and Akesa Vea Fetu’u. She died on May 27, 2017 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Lavinia married Kiteau Maumi on April 15, 1968.
She loved sewing and crocheting but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lavinia is survived by Kiteau, her husband of 49 years; her only son David Siolaa Fotu (Makelesi); her four grandchildren, Tevita Siolaa Fotu (Carolynn), Tevita Fetu’u Fotu, John Fangatua Fotu (Ashley), and Lavinia Manumataongo Folaumahina (Keola); and her 13 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother Tevita and Akesa Fetu’u; four siblings, Pita, Mele Mohokoi, Mele Kelo and Sepeti.
A viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 8:30 to 10:30 am at Memorial Redwood Mortuary located at 6500 S Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123. The bishop services will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Memorial Redwood Mortuary. Interment will immediately follow the bishop services at Memorial Redwood Cemetery.Service Information
