Lavenda Milne

LaVenda Milne, our beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed peacefully on December 14, 2020, after enduring to the end, of Alzheimer’s. She was born on December 11, 1937, in Cedar City, UT. We just celebrated her 83rd Birthday. She married Donald J. Milne on October 28, 1955.
She loved music and taught her family to love music. She was an accomplished pianist and organist, she taught piano and organ lessons for many years. She enjoyed making hand stitched crafts, many are hanging in her home. She loved spending time with family outdoors, some favorite spots were; Fish Lake, Lake Powell and Pacific Beach.
She faithfully and lovingly served in various church callings in Young Women’s and Relief Society. For 32 years she shared her musical talents at the organ as a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was an example of Christ like love to all.
She is survived by her loving husband and caregiver, Don Milne, children, Marci (David) Love and Kerry (Lorna) Milne, she was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren whom she dearly loved.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, daughter Lynette and Franki who she loved like a daughter.

A public viewing will be held on Monday, December 21st from 6-8pm at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary at 3115 E. Bengal Blvd, Cottonwood Heights. A private funeral will be held Tuesday, December 22nd at 1pm at the Brighton 1st Ward Chapel 2925 Bengal Blvd, Cottonwood Heights, with a short viewing from 12 noon–1pm. Interment will be at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery.
