Laurie Kay Lyman passed away on August 29th 2015 in Salt Lake City Utah. She was born on May 9th 1963 in Salt Lake City to Robert L. And Judith Anderson. She was married to Don Goettsche and later divorced. In November of 1991 she married the Love of her life Russell Lyman. They spent 22 fun years together.
Laurie worked at Coca-Cola, Sundance Catalog, Schiff and Dealertrack where she made many life time friends. She graduated from Salt Lake Community College, and worked many years as a computer software programmer. Laurie enjoyed playing tennis in her younger years, and loved going to Art and Music shows. She was especially fond of the Utah Arts Alliance. Animals were especially close to her heart, cats being her favorite.
Laurie is survived by her mother Judy Jacobsen, Siblings Craig (Kathy) Anderson,Troy (Vic) Simpson, Colette (Jim) Engle, Danette Potter, Mark (Pam) Jacobson and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her precious cat “GUS”.
Laurie is preceded in death by her husband Russ Lyman, her father and mother Robert L. and Elaine Anderson and her beloved cat “Caesar”. All were very dear to her heart.
Laurie will be buried next to her husband Russ on September 4th in a private family ceremony at Lake Hills Memorial Cemetery in Sandy Utah. On September 5th from 11am to 2pm there will be a celebration of life and memories held with her family and friends at her sister Colette’s home. 10720 south Whirlaway Lane, Sandy Utah 84092.
