Laurene Rae Boyer

Laurene Ray Boyer, age 68, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2018, in Sandy, Utah, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Clyde and Maxine Averett on November 25, 1949. She married Carl Boyer on December 28, 1981. Laurene was a devout member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and instilled her love of Christ in everyone she met. Growing up Laurene faced many physical struggles, but she didn’t let that slow her down. She had a zest for life and a love for adventure. Her greatest love was her family and spending time with them; camping, vacationing, and all the holidays. She always had fun games and arts and crafts for them to do.
Laurene is survived by her mother, Maxine Averett; husband, Carl Boyer; children: Travis (Bridget) Chapple, Trent (Tonya Bentley) Chapple, Alena Pham, Robert (Tracie) Tuft, Lon Boyer; grandchildren: Trena, Chase, Tony, Joe, Jacob, Janessa, Ashley, Taylee, Brooklyn, Justin, Brandie, Alyssa, Alex, Colby and Niko; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters: Devra (Jon) Caminiti, Judy Mitchell, and Gaylin (James) Ford. She is preceded in death by her father, Clyde Averett and daughter, Bridget Boyer.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Sagecrest Ward Building, 1280 East Turquoise Way, Sandy, Utah. Friends may call 9:00 – 10:30 AM prior to services. Interment will follow at Memorial Lake View Cemetery, 1640 East Lakeview Drive, Bountiful, Utah.
