Laura Lee Teeples Wiscombe (51) passed away peacefully with family by her side on March 1, 2022 in Plano, Texas following complications from a pulmonary embolism.
Laura was born on August 5, 1970 to parents W. Niel Teeples and Donna K. Woffinden in Salt Lake City, Utah. She lived in a loving home in Bountiful, Utah with 2 brothers and 3 sisters: Shauna, Allan, Doug, Ruth, and Rebecca. Her childhood consisted of many camping trips, constant splits and cartwheels, family time, and growing into the beautiful young woman she was. She graduated from Bountiful High School in 1988.
Laura met her eternal companion, Peter Wiscombe in March, 1989. After a whirlwind engagement, they were married in the Salt Lake Temple on September 6, 1989. Over the next 30 years Laura and Peter went on to have 4 beautiful daughters: Katherine, Cacia, Liesel, and Jacqueline. They provided her with her greatest joys: 10 grandchildren and one more on the way: Madeline, Logan, Quinton, Beckett, Xander, Kaylee, Kade, Peter, Theodore, and Danni.
Laura and Peter took their family to High Point, North Carolina in 2001 for an employment opportunity. They lived there for 20 years and made many close friendships that continue to this day. In 2020, they relocated to Little Elm, Texas.
Laura was excellent at designing and decorating every space she was in and was happiest with a hammer, drill, or paint brush in hand. Her can-do attitude allowed her to complete many home projects over the years. She was never hesitant to help others with anything they needed. She never thought twice about accepting a church calling and thrived in each one she had. Laura served in Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society Presidencies as well as in many other capacities. One of her favorite callings was teaching early-morning seminary for several years.
Laura was predeceased by her father W. Niel Teeples. She is survived by her husband, Peter, her mother, Donna and daughters, Katherine Sizemore (Tom), Cacia Henson (Paden), Liesel Vance (Nathan), and Jacqueline Merrill (Stephen).
