Laura Cristina Kelly

Laura Cristina Kelly, born on April 12, 1949, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, passed away at the age of 75 in her home in West Jordan, Utah on August 16,2024. Laura spent her early years in her homeland before moving to the United States, where she would eventually make her home.

 Known for her warm and loving personality, Laura was cherished by all who knew her. She was an avid cook and decorator, she found joy in creating healthy dishes and creating beautiful and welcoming spaces in her home. She immensely loved her cats which were very much like her children. She loved to travel all over the world and had an appreciation for the finer things in life. 

 Laura served as a Medical Assistant in her earlier working years. She later transitioned to a role of a Medical Interpreter, bridging communication barriers for non-English speakers. 

 Laura is survived by her husband, Timothy John Kelly; her son, Matthew Patrick Kelly; her daughter, Nicole Christine Prettyman, and son-in-law, Kyle Prettyman; her brother, David Guillen; and her nephew, Jonathan Guillen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rafael and Nelida Guillen, and her brother, Oscar Guillen.

 A memorial service to celebrate Laura's life will be held at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 S Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah, at 10 AM. on September 14, 2024. 

Laura's legacy of kindness, compassion, and community will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

She will be deeply missed.
