Larena Lee Long Schmale

Passing peacefully on October 16th 2018, an amazing woman, wife, mother, sister and grandmother found her way home. Finally, uniting with her Mother, Father and Sister once again. Loving to draw and paint, she will now have the opportunity to decorate the sky for the rest of the world to enjoy! Hopefully they have an endless supply of tomatoes, avocados and apples for her to snack on. She joined our world on September 14th 1956 and continued to touch many lives everyday forward. She loved to play Softball, golf and was always looking forward to a Utah Jazz basketball game. Though her favorite way to pass the time was reading novel after novel. An independent, beautiful woman whom will be missed immensely.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years Albert Frank Schmale Jr. daughter Tina Archuleta; Son Neil and Nicole Powell ; daughter Karri and BJ Burgener. Grandchildren Courtney Powell, Taylor Burgener, Connor Burgener, Carson Powell, Vincent Dutton, Carter Powell and Oakely Dutton. Siblings; Cherry Wright, Lamar Long-Joy; Tammie Mecham-Dennie; Mary Stewart-Rick. She had many cousins, nieces, nephews and many more friends she touched along the way with her peppy, positive and beautiful personality.
Please join us Thursday October 25th between 6-8 P.M. at Oasis Vineyard Church (1750 Carriage Square, Salt Lake City, UT 84119) for viewing with family and friends. Memorial services will be held in her honor Friday 26th 2018 at 11:00 A.M.(Family please arrive at 10:00 A.M. for family prayer and closing of casket) followed by the graveside burial at the Salt Lake City Cemetary, located at 200 N St E, Salt Lake City, UT 84103. Luncheon will be provided afterwards from the Oasis Vineyard Church.
