Laree Ramos

March 22, 1942 — June 1, 2020

Ms. LaRee Stanworth Ramos, age 78, of Salt Lake City, passed away Monday afternoon, June 1, 2020, peacefully in her home.
She was born on March 22, 1942, a daughter of the late Thorvald and Lorna Stanworth of Washington County.
LaRee was preceded in death by her husband of many years Cliff Ramos; two sons, Jerry Ramos and Joseph Barber; two sisters, Jenny Price, and Phillis Simper; and one brother Phil Stanworth as well as her parents Thorvald and Lorna.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a homemaker. LaRee enjoyed making life better for all she came in contact with and was a grandma to all children that stopped by her home. Overall, she enjoyed spending time with family and loved ones.
LaRee was mother to many and is survived by her biological son Timothy, her stepdaughter Annette and adopted son Matthew (Jessica), as well as her sister LuAnn. She was also a loving grandmother to Josh, Melissa, Candace, Ryan (Amy), Samantha (Brady), Jaycee, Hunter Matthew, and Christian. LaRee was also a great grandmother to over 16 great-grandchildren.
Grandma “The-Ree” ran a home daycare for over 30 years and came across many children over that period; she was a role model and a pillar of support for so many children that came through her doors. She leaves behind a legacy that will be never be forgotten; she has touched so many individuals’ hearts and showed them true love and unmeasurable compassion that second to none. Grandma always had a special place in her heart for Jasmine, Kenyatta, and Jeremiah and treated them as her own.
She is loved and will be missed by so many every day. A special thanks from our family to the wonderful Doctors, Nurses, and CNA’s of her home hospice team who provided invaluable care to LaRee for many months. You are all, indeed, angels.
