LaRae Strong Loveridge passed away surrounded by her loved ones. She helped make this world a better place and was a positive example to all those who knew her. She was very kind and loving with all who she came in contact with. She always spoke kindly of others.
LaRae grew up in Holladay, UT and graduated from Granite High School in 1951. She was fun-loving and had many friends, who often called her “Pete.” She was very intelligent and successful in all her career and particularly enjoyed working for the forest service. She married Richard Loveridge in 1957. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple and enjoyed 59 wonderful years together.
LaRae enjoyed being active in her younger years and enjoyed skiing. She had many interests and took classes in belly dancing and understanding dreams. She was an excellent seamstress and also became an accomplished quilter. She loved to make quilts for her family. She loved to read and enjoyed talking walks. In her later years, she enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles.
LaRae was devout and faithful and we know she will be welcomed with open arms in heaven. She experienced many hardships during her life including many health challenges but her faith helped her to move forward with grace and without complaint. Heaven has gained another angel and is rejoicing in her return. We know she will be happily reuniting in heaven with her Son Thomas, her Parents Norma and Step-Father Don, Father Maurice and Brother Jerry as well as her other relatives including loving Aunts and Uncles.
We know her spirit will live with us every day. She is gone but she will never be forgotten. We look forward to meeting her again and are grateful for the time we have been able to share with her and for her example in our lives.
LaRae is survived by her husband, Richard and children Karen, Bill (Cindy), Lisa (Patrick) and Gary (Pamela) and by 11 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. She is also survived by Sisters Holly (Paul), Joan (Wayne) and Brothers Kelly (Linda), and Ken (Catherine).
