Larae Kiniry

LaRae was born in Mt. Emmons, Utah, to Leonard and Vista Wall on December 28, 1928. In high school, she was the president of her sophomore and senior classes and head cheerleader. She married Robert (Bob) Stevenson on December 2, 1950. They were the proud parents of five children: four sons and one daughter (David K., Kenton Ray, Robert K. (deceased), Klint W. and Michelle). All four sons graduated from college.
Her husband, Bob, was a home-builder and his hobby was raising thoroughbred race horses. He died of a heart attack while they were at Hollywood Park Race Track on July 12, 1968. LaRae later obtained her real estate license. On May 28, 1976, she married Sam Kiniry in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. He passed away on April 18, 1997.
LaRae worked for years with the Boy Scouts, the Relief Society and the General Primary Presidency and Board. She was preceded in death by her sister Clela, her brother Brent, and her son Robert. She is survived by her sisters Norma, Frances, and Cherrie; her brothers Jay and Brad; her children David, Kent, Klint and Michelle; and her nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly.
LaRae died at home on November 18, 2014 at age 85.
At her request, a celebration of her life has already been held.
