Ladonna Webb

May 29, 1948 — April 8, 2021

LaDonna Webb, age 72, passed away on April 8, 2021, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on May 29, 1948, in Wallace, Idaho to Bertha Evelyn Dingley and Charles Clifton Dingley. She married Ronald Craig Webb on July 1, 1967.
LaDonna is the youngest of 10 siblings. Growing up on the banks of the Clark Fork of the Columbia River in Northern Idaho. Her father was a lumberjack in what is now the Kaniksu National Forest and her mother cooked three meals a day for her husband and the other lumberjacks. She was raised with a strong work ethic, a desire to help others and a deep-seated belief in a loving Heavenly Father.
Family was central to LaDonna’s happiness throughout her life. In addition to raising five children and fostering three others, she and Ron opened their home to countless nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends of her children who found they needed a safe, loving and accepting place to stay.
LaDonna taught her children that being of service was a part of being human. She strongly encouraged her boys to shovel the snow of those unable to do so in their neighborhood. She took her daughters as she visited elderly women in her congregation that had no one else. She met her church obligations with honor and joy. As a community member, LaDonna was part of a group that read the daily newspaper to the blind on a local radio station; she taught reading to English-as-second-language students; volunteered and taught genealogy classes at the local genealogy library; researched and entered data for genealogy records across the country; and volunteered at the VA Hospital in Salt Lake City.
Between their two sides of the family LaDonna and Ron had 57 nieces and nephews. With her five young children, she traveled extensively on cross-country road trips every summer visiting her extended family, stopping to do genealogical research along the way.
LaDonna was a fan of western movies and TV shows, her favorite being Gunsmoke. Her love for the western lifestyle was expressed in her joy at listening to country music, both classic and contemporary. LaDonna was a collector of clocks with chimes, black bear decorations and family history. She lived in 2 countries (US and Canada) and 7 states (ID, UT, CA, NM, TX, AR, NC).
LaDonna’s faith and service in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has been her supporting belief system throughout her life. She knows that one day she and her family members will be reunited.
LaDonna is Survived by her husband Ronald Webb of Utah; sons Clifton Webb of Utah and Calvin Webb of Ohio; daughters Evelyn Owen of Utah, Laurel Weaver of Australia, and Sarah Harris of Kentucky; and foster daughters Joye Henrie of New Mexico, Kendra Holladay of Utah, and Elizabeth Tabish of Utah.
