L. Afton Heinecke

October 5, 1920 — September 11, 2015

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away September 11, 2015. She was born in her grandmother’s house in Salt Lake City, October 5, 1920. She married George F. Heinecke in Farmington, Utah, August 31, 1938; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple, March 8, 1951. They were the parents of four sons.
Survived by her sons, Michael (Karren), Stephan, Richard “Rick”, Scott; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and brother, Russ A. (Mildred “Micky”) Latimer. Preceded in death by her husband and 3 siblings.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 17th 2:00 PM at Holladay-Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 South Highland Drive. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
