Kristine Shurtliff Jenson

Kristine (Kris) Shurtliff Jenson, 68, died unexpectedly in her home on May 9, 2017, in Magna, Utah. She was born December 3, 1948 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Melvin Wayne Shurtliff and Alberta Hardy. She married Danny Wayne Murray on October 25, 1969 and they later divorced.  Kris married Michael Jenson in Roosevelt, Utah on August 9, 1980 and was later sealed to him in the Jordan River LDS Temple on February 24, 2007. Kris was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She enjoyed spending time with family camping and playing cards. Her favorite hobbies were doing puzzles, reading, crocheting, making jewelry and watching her favorite programs on TV. Kris had a passion for every holiday and she started many traditions that her family will carry on now that she’s gone.
Kris is survived by her children: daughters, Tammy (Rod) Gines, Katie (Nephi) Thompson and Kristy (Pete) Brannon; son, Michael (Ashlee) Jenson; 9 grandchildren; brothers, Chuck (Debbie) Shurtliff and Kim Shurtliff; and one sister, Pam Shurtliff. She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Jenson; son, Mark C. Jenson; her parents; and sisters, Bonnie S. Thompson and Karen R. Love.
Funeral services will be held at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary, 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights, UT on Saturday, May 20, 2017. A viewing will be held from 10:00 – 10:45 AM and graveside services will be at 11:00 AM. There will be a small luncheon following the service at the home of Michael Jenson, 8938 Swan Ridge Way, West Jordan, Utah.
