Kristan “Kris” Scott Ortar

Kristan “Kris” Scott Ortar, age 44, of West Jordan, Utah passed away at his home on December 30, 2018. He was born to Scott and Roseann Ortar. Kris was a true “Iron Man”, having completed an Iron Man in 2012 and many other triathlons. He loved fishing, dirt biking, jet skiing, swimming, running and the outdoors in general. Most of all, Kris loved his family.
Kris is survived by the love of his life, Serafina and their beautiful daughter, Allison Marie Ortar. He is also survived by his parents Scott and Roseann Ortar, his grandmother Shirley Sommer, brothers Ragun (Kristi) and Colton (Hollie), and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his dear grandfather Ted Sommer.
The Ortar family would like to thank everyone for the love, support and being a part of Kris’ life.
A viewing will be held for Kris on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah 84123.
Memorial services for Kris will take place on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 12:00 PM with a viewing 1 hour prior at the West Jordan 4th Ward, 8950 South 1330 West, West Jordan, Utah 84088.
