Klara M. Wille
“OMI”
July 6, 1911 – February 26, 2016
Our beloved grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend has returned home to sing with the Angels. Klara was born in Hannover, Germany to Wilhelm and Luise Wiedenbeck Wille.  The second born of four children, Willi, Klara, Lisa and Elfriede.  She came to the United States with her daughter Ingret in 1951.
She worked as a seamstress for Stover Bedding until her retirement. Klara had a beautiful soprano, classically trained voice.  She performed in many musical programs in the German community, including operettas and vocal solos.  She sang in the German choir and Oratorio Society chorus.  She loved classical music, German folk music and poetry.  She had a gift of quoting German limerick and poems on the spur of the moment. Klara loved to travel; returning many times to her beloved Germany, several places in the United States and Canada.
She loved rides through the canyons, eating out and as we all know COFFEE! She loved to sew, always mending something.  She loved cross stitching and needle point. She made many hand crafted gifts for her family that we all treasure. Klara was a member of the LDS German Ward. She was a gentle and refined lady.  She was strong, stubborn and very independent, always wanting to do it herself, even when she couldn’t.  She had a great sense of humor laced with a little sass and she loved to tease.  She never had an unkind word to say about anyone. She was loved, admired and respected by many.  A spirit like hers is special and rare.
Klara is survived by her granddaughter, Maritta (David) Johnson and Melinda (Nick) Poulos; great-grandsons, Alec and Justin Ainsworth;  nieces, Elvira (Albert) Perschon and Baerbel Wille; nephews, Klaus Thielen and Wilford Wille;  many great-nieces, great-nephews and extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilhelm and Luise Wiedenbeck Wille, her daughter, Ingret Ellery, granddaughter Heidi Schulz Fleming, brother Willi Wille, her sisters Lisa Thielen and Elfriede Wrobel.
We would like to express our thanks and heartfelt gratitude to Avenues Courtyard and Millcreek Hospice for their loving and exceptional care of our beautiful Klara.

104 years of a life well lived!! Ich Liebe Dich, Oma.
