Kjae Boyd Leslie

In the early morning hours of Saturday, January 7th, 2017, our sweet husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully in the comfort of his favorite chair at his home in Murray, Utah. Kjae Boyd Leslie, born November 18, 1925, was a marine veteran and Salt Lake City native who supported his family through his passion and talent of painting scenic works of art for films, television, photographers, theatre, ballet, and even amusement parks.  When not painting, he could be found on any of the areas golf courses, skiing the Wasatch Mountains, or shopping at Nordstrom.
He was survived by the love of his life and wife of 56 years, Elayne, his three children Tracy Newson (Glenn), Ward, and Rachel Scharmann (Mark), seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents Francis and Lucylle Leslie, as well as many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the Murray 1st Ward, 755 East 3 Fountains Drive, Murray, Utah. A visitation will be held before services from 10:45 – 11:45 AM at the church. Interment will be at 2:00 PM at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 200 N St E, Salt Lake City, UT.
