Kit Laneeda Orton

On Friday December 13th, for reasons we may never understand, the world lost one of the most beautiful people to have brightened this world. Kit had fought a long hard battle with lung cancer, but finally succumbed to one of the few things bigger than her in this world at the young age of 56.
Though she faced a daunting battle, she never allowed herself to be defined by her trials. Her beautiful blue eyes would immediately grab your attention and her bright smile would fill your spirit and light any space she entered. This wonderful lady always had a colossal personality, easily engaging with and sharing stories with anyone she met, often times in the first five minutes.
She accepted all, loved all, and enjoyed all that were blessed to have met her and make her acquaintance. She spent much of her life bringing out the beauty in others as an extremely skilled beautician, which brought her close to many of those fortunate enough to receive her services.
There is no doubt she is still the same social butterfly she has always been, chatting with the loved ones that left us before her, and even now is making new friends. She was a wonderful wife and loving friend to her devoted husband and love of her life, Vince whom she married July 13th, 1991. Kit made the most of every minute through the 30 incredible years spent with her best friend, raising their son Bradyn, and always making it apparent how much she loved and adored him.
Kit loved and cherished her many friendships making them quickly and easily. She was the type of person that when she became your friend, you knew you had a friend for life, one that made no small gesture to assure your happiness.
Kit loved spending time with her family more than anything, and together she shared the beauty of the outdoors through camping, hiking, four wheeling, snowmobiling, and golfing. She loved music and would be seen often breaking into impromptu dances with her beautiful smile on her face. Kit had a childlike innocence and because of that she saw things differently than most, always stopping to smell the roses, enjoying the butterflies and admiring the beauty around her. She had a passion for all things big and small, and it was only her who could change her mind.
She will be forever remembered for her beautifully unique personality and soul which could never be imitated. Funeral services will be held on January 4th at 11:00 am at the Cimarron ward house on 5980 South 1300 West, Taylorsville, Utah 84123 All that knew her are encouraged to attend and share the love that Kit brought into so many lives.
