Jason Kim Taylor, age 45, passed away after a valiant fight with cancer on April 4, 2015 at home surrounded by family and friends. He was born November 21, 1969 to Kim Y. and Carolyn W. Taylor in Salt Lake City, Utah. He attended Highland High School, Merced College, San Jose State University and the University of Utah where he studied music. He loved performing in musical theater and composing contemporary pieces.
Kim was a skier, hiker, loved literature, art and sports. Later in life he was a devoted family man and an enthusiastic audience as his children and wife performed. Kim also sang tenor in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Kim was a hero to us all as he modeled enduring courage and determination. Nothing stopped him!
He enjoyed working with children as an ophthalmic technician for the University of Utah, Moran Eye Center.
He met his beautiful wife Diane, also a wonderful and gifted musician in a music class at the University of Utah, and they have shared their love ever since. Their home was happy, busy, energetic and filled with love and music.
He is survived by his wife Diane Bigler, his children Trevor (Brooke), Parker (Sharen), Andrew, Jazmine, Kyra-Beth Allred and Owen-Roe Allred, grandchildren Carson and Kathryn, his parents and siblings John (Holly), Jeffrey (Rebecca), Joe (Lori), and James (Tammy). He was preceded in death by his grandson Aiden.
We are grateful to the Huntsman Center, CNS hospice and particularly to Dr. Saundra Buys.
