Kim Stroud

October 13, 1974 — April 25, 2021

Kim Robert Stroud returned to the loving arms of his Father in Heaven on April 25, 2021 at the age of 46. He was born in Murray, Utah on October 13, 1974 to Terry and Rena Stroud.

Kim grew up in Kennewick, Washington and Sandy, Utah. He graduated from Hillcrest High School in Midvale, Utah in 1993. After graduation he served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, teaching the gospel in Sendai, Japan. He earned his Microsoft Network Certifications after his mission and earned a degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix.

Kim met the love of his life, Jill Crosby, and after a brief courtship they married in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity on September 19, 2003. They adopted 4 beautiful children, Emily, Isabella, Maya, and Christopher. They lived in Sandy, Utah for several years, moved to Wood Cross, Utah for a brief time and then moved to Terrell, Texas in July of 2019. He worked for HollyFrontier as a Systems Administrator in Utah and Texas. The family would like to thank the wonderful people he worked with at HollyFrontier for their love and support.

Kim loved scouting and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He also loved camping, swimming, fishing, family games, the Oregon coast and family gatherings. Family was the most important thing to him!  Kim was known for his infectious laughter. He loved to tease and have a good time. He was generous to those he loved and he would have done anything for anyone in need. Kim was a kind, compassionate, loving son, brother, husband, father, and friend. He touched the lives of so many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He had a deep abiding testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and a great love for his Savior. Kim will be in our hearts forever.

Kim is survived by his wife Jill and their 4 children, Emily, Isabella, Maya, and Christopher, his parents Terry & Rena Stroud, sister Tera Brown (Curtis), sister Sheri Stevens (Matthew), brother Daren Stroud (Lindsay), sister Heather Heywood (Randen), and many nieces and nephews.

Our family would like to express our thanks and gratitude for the amazing outpouring of love and support from so many friends and family.
