Kikuye J. Oki Age: 95
Died on January 2, 2021, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on November 14, 1925, in Lompoc, CA to Toko and Shonosuki Ozawa. She married Akira “Ike” Oki.
Jane was moved from Lompoc, CA and interred in the Poston War Relocation during World War II. After being released from the camp at the end of World War II, her family relocated to Orem, UT. The family later moved to Salt Lake City. She worked as a live-in maid and attended business school at night, earning her Book Keeping Certification. She used her certification to secure a job with Allen Steel Fabrication where she was employed for 54 years until retirement.
Jane enjoyed bowling, traveling and fishing in her younger years. After retirement, she found great satisfaction with her passion with yard work. In addition, she loved to go out and try new restaurants and cuisines.
She is Survived by: Stanford Oki (Son), Nokyoong Pitakpitayaphon, Pam Pitakpitayaphon.
She is Preceded in death by her husband, Brothers; Harry, Yoshikazu and Sisters; Jean, Kimiko, and Hisayo.
A short grave-side Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on January 15, 2021 at the Memorial Mountain View Mortuary and Cemetery, 3115 Bengal Blvd, Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121.
Interment will be at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery.
