Kerry William Almstedt

October 22, 1956 — February 22, 2022

On Tuesday, February 22, 2022, we lost a huge piece of our hearts. Kerry fought a valiant 3 day battle with a failing heart, but on Tuesday his heart failed.
Kerry was born on October 22, 1956 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ted and Shirley Almstedt. He had a great love for animals. He loved his cat Pawzzy. He rescued her as a stray and she was by Kerry’s side since that day 13 years ago.
Kerry loved his bikes. He had many over the years. It was his mode of transportation, but also his joy of being outdoors and exploring. He recently got a new Ebike and loved riding it.
Kerry had a great memory and was able to tell stories from a fun and entertaining perspective. He had a contagious laugh and ended his stories with a laugh.
As a family we were lucky to have developed a new closeness with Kerry in the last 10 years. We loved spending time with him and will miss him greatly.
Kerry is survived by his parents, Ted & Shirley Almstedt. Sisters: Linda (Kelly) Larsen; Wendy (Lynn) Deppe; Laura (Jeff) Williams. Brothers: David (Laurel) Almstedt; Doug (Chandra) Almstedt. Many nieces and nephews who loved him deeply.
The family would like to thank the critical care team at St. Marks Hospital, especially his nurse Tiffany. She is truly an angel.
Private graveside services will be held at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 11:00 am. Condolences may be shared with the family at  https://memorialutah.com/obituaries/kerry-william-almstedt/
