Kenton Blake Alder (October 13, 1953 – July 21, 2022)
Our Sweet brother, uncle and great uncle passed to the Loving arms of his Heavenly Father and Heavenly family after a brief struggle with cancer. Kent was courageous and strong and stayed gentle and sweet to the end.
Kent’s life was not typical. He was diagnosed with mental illness at the young age of 21 but his family adored him and ensured he lived his ‘best life’ comfortable and well taken care of.
In his younger days, he enjoyed cars, ’57 Chevy and a beautiful ’73 Mercury Cougar. Kent also enjoyed nice clothes and his now vintage collection of rock ‘n roll vinyl records. He loved shooting and pool and playing tennis with his dad, hanging out with his mom and a good game of basketball with anyone up to it.
Kenton is the son of Kenneth Blake Alder and Beverly Jane Eby Alder (both deceased) and is survived by his sister Lezlie (Terry), his sister Jan (Scott), his brother Dana, his nephews: Chris, Chad, and Austin; his nieces, Stacy, Shae, Vanessa and LaShel and 8 great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank Valley Mental Health for their role in caring for Kent in their assisted living program for many years and more recently North Canyon Care Center for their care of Kent.
In lieu of flowers the family would like you to extend a small act of kindness to a neighbor, friend or family member today.Service Information
