Kent Bingham Sheffield

Kent Bingham Sheffield passed away peacefully from cancer on February 13th, 2019 at home with his loving wife. Born March 18th, 1940 in Salt Lake City, UT; Kent was the youngest of 8 children born to Heber Devern Sheffield and Ella Blanche Bingham. He loved each of his siblings and cherished his individual relationships with each of them.
Kent had many achievements in his life, but none greater than his marriage, his family and his testimony of Jesus Christ. He was a self-taught painter, he loved reading and being outside in his garden, and watching Hallmark movies. He always tried to stay positive, his laugh was contagious, and his smile lit up his eyes.
Kent married Mileta Peterson on November 10, 1961. They had 4 boys: Rick, Derek (Debbie), Breck (Becky), and Keane (Jill). Later Kent married Nora Denner on May 21, 1971 and had 2 more children: Darin (Tammy) and Kieran Humphries (Kevin).
He is proceeded in death by his parents, brothers John Dee, Ray, Jim and sister Ardith. He is survived by his sisters, Marlene, Janice, and Shanna, his brother Dale, 27 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren with 1 on the way.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 11am at the River Oaks 2nd ward, 8825 S. 1095 W. West Jordan, Utah, 84088. A viewing will be held from 9:30am – 10:45am the day of the funeral.
Interment will follow at Memorial Redwood Estates 6500 S. Redwood Rd., West Jordan, Utah 84123.
