Kenneth William Panter, Jr. Age 83 died on June 23, 2022, in Orem, Utah.
He was born on August 22, 1938, in Murray, Utah, to William Kenneth Panter, Sr. and Gladys Leona McLeod. He married Darlene Joann Beatty on June 27, 1963.
Ken had many accomplishments in life, such as: Distinguished Flying Cross, Meritorious Service Medal, air medal with eleven oak leaf clusters, Air Force Commendation Medal with one oak leaf cluster, small arms expert marksmanship ribbon, Combat Readiness Medal, Air Force longevity service ribbon, three oak leaf clusters, National Defense Service Medal, AF outstanding service award 2 oak leaf clusters, medal with four bronze service stars, AF outstanding unit awards with 2 clusters with valor, and the Vietnam Service Campaign Medal.
Ken also proudly graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Geology. He had many hobbies such as fishing, playing the trumpet, painting, and enjoying the canyons. He loved listening to country and big band music, watching old cowboy movies, and collecting tons of old movie classic videos.
He is survived by Darlene J Panter (wife) and Shannon Rashell Erling (daughter) and Dale Erling(son-in-law). His grandchildren: Jacob, Nathan, Rachel, Sarah, and Josh.
His sisters and brother-in-law: Barbara, Margie, Mary and David as well as nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by Beverly Wethers (sister) , Kenneth W. Panter, Sr, (father) and Gladys L. McLeod (mother), Dennis Leonard and Bob Gardner(brother-in-laws).
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022.
