He attended South High school, where he met the love of his life Judy Marcroft, They were married on October 20th, 1966 they had their honeymoon in Burley, ID at Ponderosa Inn. He worked very hard for everything he had in life, His work ethic was second to none. Ken started working for Consolidated Freightways on his 21st Birthday, where he retired after a 35 year career, he received many awards including a Driver of the Year in 1994 from the Utah Motor Transport association, which he was proud of until the day he passed. He was so proud to be a truck driver and a Teamster. Ken and Judy had their first child (Shawn) 3 days after he started on May 4th 1967. He loved being a father and the bread winner of the family. He loved sports of all kinds, he was on a bowling league for a few years, he played baseball and basketball for fun, and when his sons were older, he helped coach there basketball team with Larry Edwards. Golfing was his passion, he loved going with family and friends. He always looked forward to the yearly Golf trip to St. George with his brother Steve and boys Kirk and Jason, and his 3 annual Golf tournaments which he has played in for 30 plus years, Especially the Cub Classic because he got to play with all three of his boys, Shawn, Kirk, and Jason. They met their best friends Larry and Pat Edwards and family in the early 70’s, they did a lot of camping and traveling to many fun locations including several cruises which they thoroughly enjoyed. They also loved their outings with Hans and Inge Knubel. He always looked forward to the Saturday night dinner outings with friends and family. Ken loved his Utah Jazz, and also loved watching football and golf on TV. Ken also loved animals, especially his dogs, starting with Buffy in 1973, then Murphy in 1987 then Cleo (Ken’s best buddy) in 2004. She passed away in 2015 and Ken always wanted another dog, but much to his disappointment we never got one. After retirement he worked at River Oaks Golf Course (Dream Job!) for 14+ years. We know the reunion in heaven is wonderful as he has been reunited with his Mother Lola who died when he was 20 days old, his adopted parents Frank and Lenore and his brother Donnie. Our adored husband, father, grandfather and friend will continue to live on through many great memories.
