Kenneth “Kenny” Ervin Mounteer

July 19, 1988 — August 5, 2018

Kenneth (Kenny) Ervin Mounteer, age 30, and Aubrey Lynn Bailey Mounteer, age 30, died on August 5, 2018 in a motorcycle accident in West Valley City, Utah. Kenny was born on July 19, 1988 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Kelly Francis Mounteer and Hilary Ann Kirk. Aubrey was born on June 12, 1988 in West Valley City, Utah to Howard and Glenda Bailey. Kenny and Aubrey met at Classic Skating, which became their hangout, and they were married on November 12, 2010. They were extremely proud parents of four beautiful children, Hannah, Lexie, Danny, and Brody.
Aubrey enjoyed making crafts to decorate her home. She could brighten anyone’s day and was very loving, thoughtful, and compassionate to everyone she knew. She enjoyed taking care of her Grandpa Bailey for the past 3 years. She worked in the health care field for the past 13 years, 11 of which she spent at Legacy House of Taylorsville as a CNA/Medical Technician. She made several wonderful friends over the years from Legacy and home health care.
Kenny loved fishing, being outdoors and experiencing adrenaline. He gave everyone a hard time over a “Bowtie” (Chevy) as Ford was the only brand for him. He always put family first and considered one of his greatest accomplishments to be marrying his wife Aubrey.  He was proud of bringing family together who hadn’t spoken in years, and it was his dream to bring his entire family together. He was proud of joining the Operator’s Union, he believed in hard work, and he could run circles around his coworkers. He had a big heart, loved to laugh, and was always thinking of how he could improve the lives of those around him.
Kenny and Aubrey are survived by their four children, Hannah, Lexie, Danny, and Brody, as well as Bonnie and Clyde (their tortoises).
Aubrey is survived by parents: Howard and Glenda (Brixey) Bailey; Grandpa Bailey; brother, Zach (Melissa) Bailey; nephews, DJ and Griffin; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by Grandpa and Grandma Brixey, Grandma Bailey, aunts, Barbara, Rhonda, Jolyn; and brother, Brandon.
Kenny is survived by grandmothers, Colleen Mounteer, Cindy Francisco, and Sharon; great-grandmother, Shirley; mother, Hilary and step-father, Kelly Kirk; sisters, Brandie (Keith) and Candace (Brandon); nieces and nephews, Piper, Quinn, Nate, and Sierrah; brother, Hunter; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by father, Kelly Mounteer; grandfathers, Kenneth Mounteer and Gary Mixon; and aunt and uncle, Tracy and Michelle Larsen.
