Kenneth “Ken/Kenny” Rodgers

Ken Rodgers, age 79, passed away on June 19,2018 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ken was born August 24, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah to James Henry Rodgers and Hazel Rickart. Ken’s father passed away when he was two. His mother was later remarried to Bert Brimhall, Sr. He graduated from West High School in 1956. Ken received his Master of Fine Arts from the University of Utah. Ken was an accomplished artist, but water color was his favorite medium. He was known in the community for his business, The Skin Company. He proudly contributed in the film industry and various clubs as well as his retail location on 9th and 9th. Ken was an award-winning gardener in the Avenues of Salt Lake City. He had a passion for the arts and was passionate about Repertory Dance Theatre. Ken is survived by his brothers Lawrence H Rodgers (Carolyn) and Bert Brimhall (Lawana), sister Susan Gayler (Wayne), and by many nieces and nephews which Ken adored. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. A Graveside service will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018, 2:00 PM, with a viewing two hours prior (12:00 PM), at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
