Kenneth Joseph Beauchemin, (58) of Swansboro, NC died Sunday February 5, 2017 in West Jordan, Utah. But not before seeing his New England Patriots win their 5th Super Bowl in their typical come from behind way. What a game! Go Pats!!!
He was born in Fitchburg; Mass on August 22, 1958 the son of the late Loraine Rita Mary Langlois and the late Ernest Joseph Beauchemin.
Ken was a former Marine and proudly served in Washington DC in the U. S. Marine Drum & Bugle Corp “The Commandant’s Own” where as a member of their elite snare line, he traveled over 50,000 miles a year as an ambassador of peace. After leaving the Marine Corp he worked in sales where he found his true calling. No matter what he sold he was consistently a top producer and leaves behind boxes of awards and trophies awarded to him for his accomplishments. For the last 15 years of his life he focused his talent on helping to protect families in the home security industry. During his career he protected over 6000 families, more than any other security consultant in the country during that same time period.
He loved music, especially the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and would go watch them perform live on Sunday mornings at the Salt Lake Tabernacle as often as he was able. He particularly loved hearing their traditional closing hymn “God Be With You ’Til We Meet Again”. He also loved the ocean and took almost daily walks on the beach.
Most important to him was his family. His greatest joy came from his earthly companion and eternal sweetheart, Ginger, and his “masterpieces” as he referred to his children. Kelsey and Taylor were his life from the moment they were born; there was nothing he wouldn’t do for them. Even as it became apparent he would not win his battle with cancer his biggest concern was for them. Don’t worry Ken you taught them well, they will be fine and do you proud.
He is survived by his loving wife Ginger Colledge Beauchemin of Swansboro, NC, his daughter, Kelsey Lorraine Beauchemin of Nashville, TN and his son Taylor Joseph Beauchemin and his wife Sarah Schill Linford Beauchemin of Provo, UT. He is also survived by 6 brothers and 4 sisters.
