Kenneth John Runnacles

Our Loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Kenneth John Runnacles (94) passed away on November 22, 2018 Surrounded by his family and loved ones. Ken was born on October 27, 1924 in Ipswich, England to Edith and John Runnacles. Ken was a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints and was a lifelong faithful member, serving two missions to Freiberg Germany from 1992-94 and again from 1999-2000. Ken had a passion for music and touched the lives of so many people with his music. Opa sang and played many instruments including piano, organ, clarinet, and accordion. He played for many organizations including Swiss Chorus Harmony, The U of U Ballet, Ballet West, and was the organist for the German Speaking Ward. Opa enjoyed going to the temple and attended the Family History Library weekly. Ken is survived by his daughters Angie (Torsten), and Christina (Tim), nine grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Ken is preceded in death by his beloved wife Hanna. Funeral services will be held on December 1, 2018 at 11:30. A viewing will be held from 9:30-11:30 at the LDS Church House 767 E. 700 S. Salt Lake City, Utah. Interment to follow at Salt Lake Cemetery.
