Kenneth Wayne Hibbert, Jr., age 79, passed away on January 23, 2025 in the VA Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born on December 2, 1945 in Sacramento, California to Betty Jean Hibbert and Kenneth Wayne Hibbert, Sr.
Kenneth married LaRae Young on January 23, 1976.
Kenneth was a water treatment manager over three plants. He retired after working for 40 years. He loved Big Cottonwood, City Creek, and Parley’s Canyon. He loved going camping and mountain biking with his nephew Jeff. He also loved camping with his family. He proudly served for four years in the Vietnam War as a lab technician. He loved walking his dog Gracie with his grandkids on the canal. He has many cherished memories with his family in Bear Lake. Kenneth was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He faithfully served an LDS mission in South Carolina in 1965.
Kenneth is survived by his wife LaRae; his four children Lindsay, Kymberly, David, and Brenda 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother Keith (Marilyn) from South Jordan; brother Kraig (Melna) from Las Vegas; sons-in-law Hector, Kenneth, and Benji; and daughter-in-law Sharonity.
He is preceded in death by his parents Betty and Kenneth Hibbert, Sr., sister Karen Ball; nephews Donald Ball, Jeffery Ercanback, and Bryan Clark.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 12:00 PM at the Harvest Park Ward Church, 3671 South 4180 West, West Valley City, Utah. You may visit with the family at a viewing on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM and on Friday prior to services from 11:00 to 11:45 AM. Interment following services at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
