Kenneth Floyd Hawkins

August 17, 1942 — July 6, 2019

Kenneth Floyd Hawkins returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, July 6th, 2019. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on August 17, 1942, to the parents of Floyd and Freida (Mauerman) Hawkins, the second of five children, and only son. He met the love of his life, Kay, just after graduating from Granite High School in 1961. They were married 54 years and made many wonderful memories together. Most of his career was in printing and he enjoyed it. He worked at Harland Clarke for 35 years. He also owned his own yard care business for many years. Ken has always been a hard worker and was kind to everyone. If there was something you needed help with, he was the person to call. He was so talented at auto mechanics and general home repair, he seemed to be able to fix anything. He had a deep love for his wife and five children, and would do anything he could to help them. He was very passionate and strong in his Christian faith. We are grateful for his example and the time we had with him. He will be dearly missed.
Preceding him in death was his parents, wife, Mary Katherine ‘Kay’ Hawkins, and sister, Arlene Hawkins. He is survived by his sisters, Jeanette (Don) Merrill, Jeanine (Sam) Hatch, Linda (Bryan) Allen; his children, Lorie Hawkins, Troy (Sandra) Hawkins, Shane Hawkins, Travis (Latdy) Hawkins, Coty (Kristy) Hawkins; his grandchildren, Nachae Martin, Arilyn (Paul) Martinez, Whitley (Nick) Rider, Tiarah Croonenborgh, Jaden Hawkins, Korbin Hawkins, Nicholas Hawkins, Halle Hawkins, Ashley and Riley Hawkins; and his great-grandchildren, Brayden, Gabriel, Kyree, Zoe, Zari, Mayah.
