Ken Knight

Ken, our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, son, and friend, passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully at the age of 54, early on Friday April 9, 2021 at home in East Millcreek, Utah.
He was born in Oakland, California on June 28, 1966 to K. Ronald Knight and Elaine Mae Sorensen Knight. Ken grew up in Holladay, Utah graduating from Olympus High School in 1984.
Ken worked hard and was a gifted craftsman of many trades. He was often humming with happiness and eager to help others. He enjoyed morning runs with his golden retriever Lilly Jane, eating popsicles year-round, and barbequing wagyu steak in the backyard with the dachshunds Denver and Carbon. He also especially enjoyed Halloween and horror movies.
Ken also loved to travel and go on adventures with his family and dogs. Places he loved include the Knight Family Cabin in Weber Canyon, camping at Rockport State Park, Disneyland, Egypt, Jerusalem, Alaska, and Cancun, Mexico.
Ken is survived by his lifelong sweetheart and wife Darice, dear kids Kelsey and Dallas, and by many loving family members and friends. This includes his wonderful siblings Stewart (Liz), Greg (Jenet), Laura, Randy (Julie), and Spencer (Christy). He is preceded in death by his cherished parents and grandparents, and a few close friends.
A viewing will be held Friday April 23, 2021 from 6-8:00 pm at Memorial Holladay-Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 S Highland Drive. A graveside service will be held Saturday April 24, 2021 at 11:00 am at Memorial Holladay Cemetery, 4900 S. Memory Lane, Holladay, Utah.
