Katie Roberts

September 30, 1975 — September 10, 2014

Katie, also known as Mommy, My Kate, Aunt Kate, and best friend, you will forever be remembered as our heaven on earth. As my wife you were to me perfect; always so giving and loving and supportive and beautiful and always working to find better ways to make my life and the life our kids and friends a happy dream. You taught our kids at home with firmness, gentleness, kindness and patience with your searching brown eyes, quick laugh, freckle faced smile and gentle hands. You taught your cherished children Abigail (12) and Evan (11) to read, write, cook, clean, do math, swim, ride a bike, plant a garden, and so much more. You showed us how to help others, love others, love God and our country. How to love living life and how to laugh and how to be happy and make others feel as loved as much as we know you loved us. You couldn’t sing that well but to hear you sing a lullaby or read a book to your kids, or nieces or nephews will always be a beautiful memory. You were so talented in researching and then teaching solutions to the struggles of life for your family, friends and PT patients. You made things better everywhere you went. You were an intuitive listener and healer. You were the best friend we ever could have had and you gave us heaven and happiness and made it a part of us so that when you are no longer with us, you will still be a part of us, inseparable forever. Thank you my Katie for being irreplaceable. We will find happiness again because you showed us what it truly is and where to find it. You are a gift from God, perfect with your imperfections, deserving of the Peace that awaits you. And a bike. A most amazing road bike, this time powered with a body that is all it needs to be to keep up with your beautiful intentions. I don’t know how it’s possible for you to be in a better place than heaven on earth but I know you will be in heaven in Heaven. And even though you are leaving your body you will never leave us. You are our beautiful and great friend and we will love you always for everything you are and everything you have been for us.
Katie is survived by husband Steve, children Abigail and Evan, mother Evelyn, brothers Glen and Lee. Katie is preceded in death by her father David.
