Kathy Lynn Rinehart

August 4, 1948 — September 20, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of Kathy Lynn Rinehart, born August 4th, 1948 announce her passing after recently just turning 70 years old due to cancer. Kathy was preceded in death by her loving father Darrell Ensign Reed and her loving brother John Robert Reed.
Kathy will be greatly missed by her husband of 51-derful years, her mother Bonita Reed Bailey, her daughter Jennifer, grandchildren Alena and Casey, her son Jason, grandchildren Taylor, Caden and Ashton, her brother Steven Reed and wife Christine Reed.
She will be missed considerably by her many “adopted “extended family members as well.  She was come to be known as mom or grandma by most everyone.  She had a big enormous heart and all kids were remembered and included in most all events. There were many summer birthday parties held in her back yard. She also had a passion for the “One armed Bandits” and was pretty good at them. (Nowadays they are just called slot machines.)
Not many people in their 70’s can say they still have lifelong friends from clear back in grade school.  Sandy and Gary Rowland are those kinds of friends that last. Kathy also had a very valued group of work friends that stuck together throughout their different work careers through the years as well. They meant so much to her.
Growing up in Murray Utah, she worked in a riding stable in her youth and of course loved horses. Kathy was proud to remind people she met that she was a Murray “Spartan”. She worked for the State of Utah in the Unclaimed Property Division and also took pride in working for them.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday the 25th of September at 11:00 am at Memorial Holladay-Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 S. Highland Drive, Holladay, Utah. Inurnment at Memorial Holladay Cemetery.
It will be very difficult, no, impossible to forget someone who gave us so much to remember…………
