Kathleen Johnson

Kathleen Johnson, fondly known as "Nana" to her loved ones, gracefully departed from this world on July 22, 2024, in West Jordan, Utah. Born on December 24, 1942, in Price, Utah to Ezra H Buttrey and Josephine Nucich Buttrey. She married Joseph E. Johnson on June 25, 1963 and they were sealed in the LDS Temple on June 28, 1983.

Throughout her life, Kathleen found joy in the simple pleasures of camping and fishing. Her creativity knew no bounds as she indulged in baking delights and the art of crocheting. Her children were blessed with homemade dinners, delectable baked goods, cozy blankets, scarves, and purses that were crafted with love.

Kathleen was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

In the embrace of eternal peace, Kathleen now reunites with her mother Josephine Buttrey, father Ezra H. Buttrey, brother John Buttrey, sister Helen Marie Armstrong, and great aunts Helen and Alice Nucich.

Kathleen is survived by her beloved husband Joseph E. Johnson; sons Joseph Johnson Jr. (Diana), Jonas Johnson; daughter Misti Lee; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren with another on the way; and one great-great-granddaughter. She is also survived by her sister Charlotte Buttrey.

Services to honor and celebrate Kathleen's life will be held at Memorial Murray Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, Murray, Utah. A viewing will take place on July 25th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on July 26th from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The funeral service will commence on July 26th at 10:00 AM followed by interment at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
