Kathleen Jean Cassity Nelson

KATHLEEN JEAN CASSITY NELSON, born May 8, 1937 in Salt Lake City, passed from this earth on May 18, 2021. Kathleen was a long time resident of Holladay UT, and was a graduate of Olympus High and the University of Utah. She was a proud member of the Delta Gamma Fraternity and was an eager volunteer to their mission of Sight Preservation, performing vision screening for pre-schoolers. Kathleen was a longtime educator, teaching at the junior high level in a number of school districts. She was also a lifelong artist, creating and teaching in ceramics.
Kathleen leaves behind her husband, Jay, of 60 years, children Leslie (Daniel) and Jenny (Glenn) and three lovely grandchildren Catesby, Colter and Sabine. A private service will be announced at a later date.
