The world lost a gentle, loving spirit on October 5, 2016 with the death of our beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend, Kathy Seaman. Kathy was born in Wexford, Pa. on 10-28-1949, the youngest child of Francis and Ravenna McCann. She attended both Catholic and public schools in Pennsylvania and Phoenix. At Xavier High School in Phoenix Kathy excelled as a member of the National Forensic League. Kathy graduated from Arizona State University in 1971 with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and taught third grade in Gila Bend, Arizona and Magna, Utah. She was particularly interested in the needs of disadvantaged children and students. A fabulous, devoted mother, Kathy was active in PTA activities related to her three sons. As well she was a Cub Scout Den Mother and taught Religious Education at Sts. Peter and Paul Parish and St. Martin de Porres Parish. Preceding her in death are her parents and older sister, Suzanne and Granddaughter, Mikelle. Kathy is survived by her husband of 43 years, John, and three sons: Michael (Mandy), Jimmy (Emily) and John (Celine). Her two grandchildren, Tom and Lucas, were the light of her life. Kathy is also survived by her brother, Terry (Hope) of Phoenix. While cancer stole her body, Kathy is now at home and fully alive in spirit.
A visitation is scheduled for Monday, October 10, 2016, at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 with inurnment following at Redwood Memorial Estates.Service Information
